Interview Preparation: With a comprehensive understanding of the selection process, I can help prepare you for a winning interview. I will facilitate practice sessions so that you learn how to emphasize your strengths, respond to the most common and challenging questions, and position yourself for a job offer. With the benefit of an experienced coach, you can be confident of a successful job hunt. Sessions are $50 an hour, with a two hour minimum.

How are payments handled? You can either mail me a check (to the address I'll provide) or I can send you an electronic invoice using PayPal (this works best if you already have an active account). Once the initial phone call is scheduled, we will determine which is easier for you.

Can we meet in person? In person sessions would be considered on a case by case basis with a commensurate fee structure. I am based in central New York State.

I need it FAST! If you need a resume or coaching session to be completed in less than 24 hours a “fast as you can” surcharge of $30 may apply.

Interview Preparations

I have interviewed hundreds of applicants and I’ve seen it all - the worst case scenarios when your tongue gets tangled and your brain freezes up, and the best scenarios when your answers flow like honey and you walk on water.

So, how can you improve your chances of success? Practice! Practice leads to confident, articulate answers allowing you to engage your interviewer more fully and make the connections that translate to job offers. If you think you don’t need to practice, you’re wrong!

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT ($50 an hour, 2 hour minimum): I will facilitate phone-based sessions focused on developing a comprehensive interview strategy. Session are normally 60 minutes in length, with a minimum of two. In the first session we will focus on how to best prepare for the interview, identifying your strengths and addressing the weaknesses in your resume. The second session will build on the first by role-playing your answers to the most common and challenging questions. The sessions are typically conducted within a three day time period, but can be customized to your schedule.

FINE TUNING sessions ($50 each): If you would like to add additional phone sessions, either to prepare for follow up interviews or to work through tough issues, they can be scheduled as needed. I recommend at least one session per interview after the PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT sessions are complete.

THE ‘DAY BEFORE’ JITTERS! ($35 for 30 minutes): What do I wear? What should I bring? How do I answer that question? The nervous energy reaches a peak in the 24 hours leading up to an important interview. As a supplement to the above packages, I can be available to offer last minute coaching and advice before you head out the door.

Resumes

In this challenging job market a resume needs to do more than just list your biographical information. After personally interviewing hundreds of job applicants, I can assure you that most resumes are too long, poorly written and lacking the type of information that will get you hired. Don’t make rookie mistakes on such an important document.

RESUME REVIEW ($125): This package is the right choice if you have a working resume that needs some improvements and refinements. You will need to provide me with a draft of your current resume. We will then schedule a 60-minute orientation phone call to discuss your background, professional interests and current career goals. With this information, my objective will be to make significantly enhancements that improve all aspects of your resume. If I don’t think I can make that type of improvement, I’ll tell you and there will be no charge.

FROM THE FOUNDATION UP Package ($200): If you’re struggling to get started and you don’t have a draft of your resume, this is the package for you. It includes an hour long orientation phone call with a detailed discussion of your biography, professional interests and current career goals. Using this information I will prepare a draft resume which will be provided for your review. At this point, I may request an additional phone conversation before the final documents are created. With this information, my objective will be to provide you with a solid resume that effectively and professionally communicates your accomplishments, work history and education.

TAILORED VERSIONS ($25 each): As a supplement to the packages above, I will develop additional resumes that are uniquely customized for a specific position. This will be essential if you are pursuing jobs in several fields or interviewing both internally and externally.

COVER LETTER for a SPECIFIC POSITION ($35 each): As a supplement to the resume packages, I will produce a cover letter for a specific job posting. By hiring me to help you can avoid the most common cover letter mistakes and submit a cover letter that include company specific research with language that is customized to create interest in your application.

COMPREHENSIVE COVER LETTER PACKAGE ($75): If you would like a cover letter package developed that provides you with the content to create cover letters for a wide variety of positions, this is the right choice for you. This package is not specific to an individual position, but will provide you with all of the necesary resources to quickly and easily pull together a cover letter for any position you are interested in pursuing.

My name is Sharon Hujik, and I have 15 years of business experience working in all aspects of hiring, training and managing people. Throughout my career, I have helped hundreds of individuals improve the quality of their resumes and provided them with personalized coaching to prepare for job interviews.

Formerly an Executive Business Manager with Merck, I am a three time winner of the distinguished Master’s Club for Business Managers and was inducted into Merck’s Manager Hall of Fame in 2007. I have managed sales teams in New York, New England, California and the Pacific Northwest.

A graduate of Dartmouth College, I currently reside with my family in New York State.
