How does a business coach help?

Tell me if this sounds familiar:

You have a great idea.  Your heart pounds a bit when you think about it.  You feel in your gut it has the potential to be big.

You buy the domain name.  You set up the website.  You find the right photos.

It’s your baby and you love it. You dream about the potential of how your idea can make a difference.  You envision the opportunities that could come your way.

You write your first post and share it on Facebook.  Your mom “likes” it.

Someone tells you to tweak your website.  Change the colors.  Try a new theme.  Add a sign-up form.

You google “how to start a business.” Suddenly the search bots know that you are a budding entrepreneur and every ad is targeted to sell you something.

You stay up late each night, trying to put your big idea into words but it all falls flat.  This is much harder than you expected it to be.

You create an “About Me” page but leave it blank because you have no idea what to say.

You get the first sign up for your newsletter!  It’s your weirdo neighbor.

You get your first comment on a post!  It’s a spammer telling you that they have cheap electronics to sell.

You start to get nervous, you second guess if your great idea is really any good.

You buckle down and grit through the discouragement.  You know you have what it takes and you WILL NOT FAIL!

You see all. the. things. on Facebook.  Everyone promising success. Everyone telling you that their way is the way.  It’s overwhelming.

You try Pinterest.

You try YouTube.

You try blogging.

And you’re still stuck.  Spinning your wheels. You want your baby to succeed but after lots of hard work, sacrifice and effort, you’re still at the starting line.

What’s next?  Is it time to hire a coach?  Do normal people do that?  Does that mean you’re not enough?  Or does it mean that you’re normal?

And a great coach has a wealth of experience to leverage.

EXPERIENCED:  She should be well versed in multiple disciplines.  Don’t want to squander your time with someone who can only propose one solution, but work with someone who is knowledgeable in multiple fields.  When I work with clients I routinely tap into 25 years of sales and marketing experience, I use my technical expertise on WordPress and Search Engine Optimization to customize and optimize those marketing plans, and I have worked with hundreds of clients on their product strategies,  many of whom are making a 6 figure income from their businesses.  You don’t want to settle for less.
